Long-Term Understanding

Struggling with a Subject Doesn’t Mean a Student Isn’t Capable…

Many students fall behind not because they lack ability, but because foundational concepts were never fully understood. With patient and focused guidance, those gaps can be closed, confidence rebuilt, and real progress achieved.

I work with students who:

  • Feel frustrated with difficult or confusing concepts
  • Need structure, accountability, and consistent support
  • Want to strengthen foundational understanding
  • Are preparing for important academic milestones

  • “Caspian helped me throughout high-school, from algebra to pre Calculus and so much in between. He’s always very flexible and kind, and slows everything down when I get confused. He can turn difficult concepts into easy concepts.”
    ~Caroline R
  • “Caspian tutored my two boys. Ages 7 and 10. He was amazing with them. They loved him and he made sure they understood math!”
    ~Sangita M
  • “Mojtaba did a great job tutoring my son in HS Physics and math. He was able to explain many of the complex topics in Physics into ways that my son could understand. My son clearly disliked physics and was on his way to receive a C in the course, but with the help of Mojtaba he finished with an A.”
    ~Jared J

I work with K–12 and college-level students in mathematics, statistics, and physics, with differential equations being added soon at the college level. This includes foundational courses through advanced coursework such as Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, AP-level courses, introductory college statistics, and calculus-based physics. If you are unsure whether a course is a fit, I am happy to review the syllabus and discuss alignment before beginning.

Sessions are available both online and in person. Online sessions are conducted in a structured, interactive format using shared digital workspaces that allow real-time problem solving and annotation. In-person sessions can be held at a student’s home or at a mutually agreed upon public location such as a library, coffee shop, etc. The format can be adjusted based on student preference, scheduling needs, and learning style.

In-person sessions are available within approximately a 7-mile radius of the Milton downtown area in Georgia. Travel within this range may include an additional fee depending on distance and scheduling logistics. Specific arrangements can be discussed during the initial consultation to ensure clarity and convenience for both parties.

Standard sessions are 60 minutes. For students preparing for major exams or needing extended problem-solving time, longer sessions (75–90 minutes) can be arranged. Session length can also be adjusted based on attention span, course demands, and academic goals.

Most students benefit from meeting once per week for consistent reinforcement. Students facing significant foundational gaps or preparing for upcoming exams may meet twice per week for a defined period. Frequency is discussed during the initial consultation and adjusted as progress is made.

Yes. Support includes preparation for classroom exams, midterms, finals, AP exams, SAT/ACT math sections, and college-level assessments. Preparation focuses on strengthening underlying concepts, identifying recurring weaknesses, practicing structured problem-solving strategies, and improving exam pacing.

Progress is evaluated through ongoing observation of problem-solving independence, conceptual understanding, error patterns, and performance on coursework and assessments. Informal check-ins are conducted regularly, and structured review sessions are used to measure mastery of previously challenging material. When appropriate, feedback is shared with parents to ensure transparency and alignment on academic goals.

Sessions are scheduled in advance and reserved specifically for each student. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is requested for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a session fee except in cases of illness or emergency. Communication is conducted primarily via email or text for scheduling matters, and timely updates are encouraged to ensure consistency and respect for both the student’s progress and the reserved time.
